Schefferville

Shefferville was the pioneer of Quebec’s mining cities, and since the mining activities have stopped, it has become an important outfitter centre as well as the starting point to many outdoor expeditions. Shefferville is also located right by the Caribou Trail, where animals pass by during their migration. The village shares its taiga territory with the Kawawachikamach and Matimekosh – Lac John Amerindian communities.
