North of the North Shore
This area is the northernmost area of the Duplessis region. Here, nature takes control of the land. It is the paradise for outdoor sports enthusiasts with its hundreds of lakes and rivers as well as the Mounts Groulx nearby. In this area, visitors can go hiking, river rafting or kayaking, fishing, hunting or go on a snowmobiling excursion in winter.
This area is also the entryway to Labrador, aast of the province of Quebec. Here, taiga reveals its beautiful dwarf plants, while the size of the caribou herd always astonishes visitors. The northern lights paint the sky with their green and red colours while the opencast mines are beyond what anyone can imagine. Vastness is a good word to describe this region where visitors will surely be disoriented!
